Apprenticeship Program

Ages 9-11

Apprentices, kids ages 9-11, learn hands-on skills to grow their own food, eat nutritiously and develop social emotional skills - all while having a blast and making new friends. Apprentices have the opportunity to earn up to $200 during the 8-week summer program.

Budding Philanthropist

Ages 12-13

Philanthropists, ages 12-13, will complete service-learning projects once a week at a local 55+ community. Projects could include building flower boxes, planting and mowing. They will also hold a weekly free produce market for the residents. Each Philanthropist can earn up to $300 during the 8-week summer program.

Internship
Program

Ages 14-16

Interns, ages 14-16, learn about first job skills by running our CSA farm. They get to develop communication skills with customers, participate in mock interviews and learn all about the workings of the farm. Each intern has the opportunity to earn up to a $600 stipend during the 8-week summer program.

CSA Memberships

CSA: Community Supported Agriculture

Enjoy fresh farm produce and and support youth development by purchasing a CSA Membership! Youth ages 9-16 engage in every aspect of farming, from planting to running the market, earn a stipend while gaining valuable farming and social skills. As a member, you'll enjoy a variety of tasty produce, herbs, flowers, and farm-fresh eggs. Choose convenient delivery in select neighborhoods or opt for pickup at our weekly market stand. Your purchase also allows us to provide a FREE CSA share for a family in need!


Summer Camps

Join us for Summer Camp on The Farm! Explore, play, and learn with our week-long camps in June, July and August. Each week features unique themes with crafts, games, and farm adventures, led by PSD teachers and teen interns. Ages 5-10.

When you sign your kid up for camp, you're also helping another child in need attend our youth programs!

Compost Program

New in 2024

Residents can sign up to be a part of the composting program to help divert food waste from their homes. We accept new residents on an availability basis. Our composting program is in partnership with Garden of Oz and uses the Bokashi composting method.
